My name is Zack Wentz. I am frequently an author, editor, musician, artist, budget chef, feline father, and vintage vinyl vendor. I am less frequently asleep.
A small portion of the writing I’ve produced has appeared, or is forthcoming, in The New York Tyrant, [PANK], Weird Tales, Nerve, Fiction International, Black Clock, Golden Handcuffs Review, LIES/ISLES, A-Minor Magazine, Opium, James Gunn’s Ad Astra, Black Candies, States of Terror, In Posse, NANO Fiction, >kill author, decomP, 3:AM, Mud Luscious, Necessary Fiction, Sundog Lit, Short Fast and Deadly, Sein und Werden, Gone Lawn, Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine, Pindeldyboz, Mad Hatters’ Review, Swink, Word Riot, elimae, The Vestal Review, The Dream People, Smith Magazine’s Six-Word Memoir anthology, Not Quite What I Was Planning, and elsewhere. My novel The Garbageman and the Prostitute was published by Chiasmus Press in 2005, is out of print, and used copies of it are apparently going for an idiomatic arm and a leg (I’m sorry about that; it doesn’t do me any good either).
I am a founding member of the musical projects Kill Me Tomorrow, The Dabbers, and Tender Buttons. I am also involved in (Charles)Book&Record.
I also might well be trying my best.
